In mathematics, the complex plane consists of a real axis and an imaginary axis that are orthogonal to each other in a coordinate plane developed to geometrically represent a complex number. This can be seen as the Cartesian coordinates of the form in which the real part of the complex number is associated with the real number axis and the imaginary part is associated with the imaginary part. The concept of complex planes enables geometric interpretation of complex numbers. Under addition, the complex numbers are added as a vector on the complex plane. Multiplication of two complex numbers can be easily expressed using polar coordinates. In particular, multiplication between complex numbers with an extreme value of 1 behaves as if it is rotating.
