Nguyen Kao
Nguyen Qaoqi is a Vietnamese soldier and politician. At the time of French colonial rule, he served as a French colonial army officer. He joined the South Vietnamese Air Force in 1954 when the country was divided. He became a member of the Air Force Command in South Vietnam since 1963. In June 1965, he was the Chief of Staff of the Vietnam Air Force. In June 1965, he led a military coup to evacuate Pan Huiquark with the army chief Nguyen Van Thiou and the General Zheng Wei Van Min. From 1965 to 1967, he led the country as a prime minister in South Vietnam in the military regime. Then, until his retirement from the political circles in 1971, he served as vice president under the general civilian administration under his strong rivals Nguyen Van Thiou.
