Black Duck Frog
The black dragonfly is a bird of the heron. The body is about 31cm long and the top and back of the head are green glossy black with 6-7cm long willow-leaf feathers. Beak is black, long and pointed, dark gray on back, and light gray on belly. The eyes and feet are yellow, and the legs are greenish yellow. Inhabits in paddy fields, stream houses, nails with hills, puddles, brooks flowing in mountain valleys, streams and so on. It is normally nocturnal but also active during the day. Feeds are small fishes, frogs, crustaceans, aquatic insects, tadpoles, etc. The female lays 3-6 eggs, the egg is light cyan and oval. It breeds in Central America, South America, and northeastern Asia and winter in Taiwan, the Philippines, Borneo Island, Zawah Island, and others. In Korea, it is a summer bird that breeds throughout the country.
