Geumcheon-gu is a district in southwestern Seoul, South Korea. It accounts for about 2.1% of the Seoul area and is the second smallest area in Seoul after Jung-gu. It consists of 10 administrative bureaus and 3 legal bureaus. Among the administrative bureaus, the area of Gasan-dong is the largest, and the smallest four is the smallest. The lifeboat was derived from Geumcheonhyeon, the former name of Siheung County. It was installed on March 1, 1995 in Guro District. The name Geumcheon originated from Geumcheon, the place name of the Joseon Dynasty.
