Certified Internal Auditor
An authorized internal auditor is an internal auditor accredited by the US IIA. As an internal auditor, it is the only internationally recognized professional certification. Certified internal auditors are responsible for not only internal audit work but also internal audit, control, corporate transparency and crisis management in response to international environmental changes. As of 2009, more than 65,000 certified internal auditors have been operating globally, and the transparency of corporate transparency has become a global issue, such as the Enron case in the United States.
