Central Research Institute for Korean Studies
The Center for Korean Studies is a research and educational organization of the Republic of Korea established to conduct Korean Studies through in-depth research and education on Korean culture. Other public organizations under the Ministry of Education, such as the Foundation for Humanities and Social Sciences, researching Korean and foreign researchers in Korea and abroad, collecting, researching, translating and publishing classical materials, Development and dissemination of Korean-related content, and computerization of academic information for Korean Studies. In June 1978, it was established as the Korea Mental and Cultural Institute under the Law for Promotion of the Korean Mental and Cultural Institute in the Law No. 3116 in June 1978. In 1980, the Korean Studies Graduate School was opened. In 2005, the Korean Studies Central Research Institute Law was promulgated. It is located at 323 Hao Street, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do.
