훈민정음

"Hunminjeongeum" refers to the title of the book written by King Sejong the Great in the early Joseon Dynasty, and the system of notation of Korean written in the back of the book. Hangeul studied and created the 28 characters of Hunminjeongeum in 1443, refined it for 3 years, wrote it in 1446, and promulgated it in September of the 14th lunar year, and explored the relationship between the characters and the heavenly people . The vowels are based on the principle of Yin and Yang. In the basic vowel '· · · · · ㅣ', 'ㆍ' made the sky look like a sheep, 'ㅡ' saw the land of the negative, and 'ㅣ' made the human figure . One of the remaining versions of the Hunminjeongjeon, "Hunminjeongeum ryambonbon" is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and National Treasure of the Republic of Korea.

《훈민정음》은 조선 초기 세종대왕이 지은 책의 제목, 그리고 그 책에서 해설하고 있는 뒷날 한글로 불리게 된 한국어의 표기 문자 체계를 말한다. 한글은 1443년 훈민정음 28자를 연구·창제하고 3년 동안 다듬고 실제로 써본 후, 1446년 음력 9월에 이를 반포하면서 조선 세종은 『훈민정음 해례본』을 통하여 문자와 천지인을 바탕으로 하는 음양오행의 관계를 설명하였다. 모음은 음양의 원리를 기본으로 만들어졌다. 기본 모음'ㆍ · ㅡ  · ㅣ'를 보면 'ㆍ'는 양인 하늘을 본 떠 만들고, 'ㅡ'는 음인 땅을 본 떠 만들었으며 'ㅣ'는 음과 양의 중간자인 인간의 형상을 본 떠 만들었다. 오늘날 남아있는 훈민정음의 판본 가운데 하나인 《훈민정음 해례본》은 유네스코 세계기록유산과 대한민국 국보로 지정되어 있다.
