Inositol
Biochemical inositol or naturally occurring cyclohexane-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexiol or myo-inositol are alcohols substituted with one hydroxy group in the hydrogen atom of the cyclohexane . It does not belong to the isomeric relationship or monosaccharide with the hexose. Sweetness is half of sugar. There are 9 stereoisomers. The most common in nature is cis-1,2,3,5-trans-4,6-cyclohexanehexol or myo-inositol.
