Fir is an evergreen bark belonging to the pine tree. It is also called a chestnut tree. It grows 20 ~ 40m in height and 1.5m in diameter in high mountain areas. The bark is ash-colored dark brown with rough and scaly sculpture. Small branches are grayish brown with shallow grooves. The winter snow is ovate and has no hair but has a little resin. Leaves are linear, length 4㎝, butterfly 2㎜, pointed end, white pore line on the back, and cross-section on the cross section. The ear of a male flower is cylindrical, 15㎜ long, yellowish green, and the flower stem is 4.5㎜ long. The female flower spikes are 2-3, approaching each other, 3.5 cm long, long oval, and 6 mm long. The cone is cylindrical and its tip is pointed or dull, and its diameter is 7㎜. The seed is an egg-shaped triangle, 12㎜ long, 6mm wide, light brown, wings 13.5㎜ long, and butterfly 12㎜ long. Flowers bloom in late April and fruit ripens early in October. Wood is used as raw material for pulp, building materials and furniture.
