Jinhae District
Jinhae is a southeastern province of Changwon City, South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. The east side is Gangseo-gu in Busan, the Sungsan-gu and Gimhae-si in the north, and the Masan-jeongpo-gu in the west and the Masan-Gappo in the west, and the Geoje-si in the south. It was used as a naval base for ROK and UN forces since the Korean War in 1950 and became the center of the ROK Navy. Jinhae Port is the mother port of the ROK Navy, with Naval Academy and various command posts, famous for its port city and cherry blossom festival. Navy Educational Headquarters is also in Jinhae, where trained volunteers are trained. In Jinhae, there has been a movement to integrate Changwon city with its geographical proximity to the city center. With the government's integration of administrative districts in 2010, the city was reorganized into Changhae city and Changhae city on July 1st. Jinhae District is using the old Jinhae City Hall as its building.
