Matadi
Matadi is the capital city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the capital of the Republic of the Congo. Matadi means Congo, "stone". It has a population of 245,862 and is located on the left bank of the Congo River, between the Atlantic Ocean and Kinshasa. In 1879, American explorer Henry Morton Stanley found this place.
