Daesan-myeon (Haman County)
Daesan-myeon is the face of Hahan-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea. It is located 14.0 kilometers north from Kaya-eu, the county seat of Haman-gun. It is situated at the confluence of the Namgang and Nakdong rivers, the boundary of Namji-eup in Changnyeong-gun. It is a plain area made of sandy sediments, and it has a favorable geographical condition as a plant for producing watermelon. It produces the best specialty watermelon in the nation. The main surrounding cities are located 48.7km from Changwon City, which is the provincial capital of Gyeongsangnam-do, 34.7km from Masan City, 114.0km from Busan, and 63.3km from Jinju City, and it is located at the traffic jam point between Namhae Expressway and Kuma Expressway. It is promoting the combined farming in the agricultural and industrial complex by convenient transportation of residents.
