WHAT DOES 오리엔탈리즘 MEAN IN KOREAN?
Orientalism
Orientalism leads to Western writers, designers and artists portraying or imitating aspects of Oriental culture. The term "Orientalist" can be seen as a person who does such activities, but it is also a traditional term for scholars studying the Orient. Orientalism is widely used in the works of 19th century French artists on the subject of content, color and style using the elements obtained from traveling in North Africa or the Near Eastern Mediterranean countries. This implies that the twentieth-century scholar Edward Said published his controversial book Orientalism, in which Side dealt with the Western arts of antagonistic and petitistic views of the Orient, created by the European imperialist attitudes of the 18th and 19th centuries, I wrote this term when I came to academic tradition. When used in this sense, Orientalism means a fundamental and biased external interpretation of Oriental culture and people.

Orientalism It was originally used to refer to the tendency of eastern hobbies in European culture and arts, but today it is used to refer to distorted perceptions and attitudes toward Western Orientalism that justify imperialist domination and aggression.
