Sociology is a study of society. Sociology uses empirical research using various social research techniques and analyzes the results. Sociology is treated as a field of social science in this sense. The goal of sociology is to understand the social structure from the microscopic to the macro level by studying human societies. Sociology is a very broad discipline in terms of methodology and inquiry. Traditionally, sociology has studied social classes such as class, social mobility, religion, secularization, law, culture, deviance and modernity in a quantitative way through quantitative research methods. Recently, the field of sociology has expanded to various social systems such as medicine, military, and punishment, and new social relations such as the Internet, and knowledge systems such as scientific knowledge. As the field of research is wide, research techniques are also diverse, and linguistic methods, cultural methods, understanding sociology, and philosophical methods are used in sociological research.
