Ministry of Commerce and Industry
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry was the central administrative body of the Republic of Korea, which oversees the affairs of commerce, materials administration, waterfront administration, trade, mining, fuel, fisheries, electricity, industry, metrology and patents. It was launched on July 17, 1948, with the establishment of the government. On March 5, 1993, it was merged with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, and abolished.
