The cause of renal artery stenosis is arteriosclerosis, fibrosis and formation, vasculitis and hypertension is caused by hypertension of renin secretion due to decrease of renal blood flow. Hypertension in this case is called renovascular hypertension and can be treated by surgical treatment such as nephrotic reconstruction or renal vascular reconstruction. Renal artery stenosis is essential for diagnosis, but other methods such as radioisotope pronegogram, intravenous pyelogram, and excretory function test are selected and postoperative prediction is performed. 신동맥협착 본증의 원인은 동맥경화, 섬유근과형성, 혈관염 등으로, 고혈압은 신혈류의 저하에 의하여 레닌의 분비가 항진하여 일어난다고 되어 있다. 본증에 있어서의 고혈압은 신혈관성 고혈압이라고 하며, 신적제술이나 신혈관재건술 등의 외과적요법에 의하여 치료가능 하다. 진단에는 신동맥조영이 필수지만 그 외에 라디오아이소트프레노그램, 정맥성신우조영, 분신기능검사법 등으로 수술방법을 선택하고 수술후의 예측 등이 행하여진다.
