This is thought to be the effect of ionizing radiation. 우라늄중독 우라늄 및 그 화합물의 화학적 독성의 영향을 가장 받기 쉬운 장기는 신(賢)이고 단백뇨, 배설기능의 이상, 요중 카탈레이스(카탈라제) 활성이나 포스파테이스활성의 상승 등을 볼 수 있고 잇따라 산증이나 질혈증(窒血症)이 되고 간장애를 수반하게 된다 또 6불화우라늄은 심한 화학성 폐렴을 일으킨다. 우라늄 및 그 화합물을 다루는 자에게서 이와 같은 중독례는 거의 볼 수 없다. 우라늄화합물(6불화우라늄을 제외)을 다루는 노동자의 장기간 조사에 있어서는 화학적 독성에 의한 것으로 생각되는 건강장애는 인정되지 않고 있는데 림프조직이나 조혈조직의 악성질환에 따른 사망의 의미있는 증가가 인정되고 있다. 이 것은 전리(電離) 방사선의 영향으로 생각되고 있다.
