Ad-Din or "Religion" derived from the word "da ya na" has many meanings in Arabic. From various meanings "dayana" there are 4 meanings that have a religious relationship according to Islamic perceptions: ▪ 1. Dain / Qardh means debt. In this case it is closely related to the existence of a human being which is a debt to be repaid, man from nothing is then created and revived and given infinite pleasures. As a borrower, people actually do not have anything, but the real Owner is God S.W.T, man is only entrusted to be used in worship. Since there is nothing, man can not pay his debt so the only way to reciprocate is to worship, and to be a servant of God which is the purpose of human creation. ▪ 2. Maddana also comes from the word fund, from this word was born the term madinah and madani, maddana which means to develop and civilization, so madinah and madani can only be used for religious society instead of atheist and secular society.

Ad-Din atau "Agama" yang berasal dari asal kata "da ya na" mempunyai banyak erti dalam bahasa Arab. Dari berbagai makna "dayana" ada 4 pengertian yang mempunyai hubung kait dengan agama menurut persepsi Islam: ▪ 1. Dain / Qardh bermakna hutang. Dalam hal ini ia berkait rapat dengan kewujudan manusia yang merupakan suatu hutang yang perlu dibayar, manusia yang berasal dari tiada kemudian dicipta dan dihidupkan lalu diberi berbagai nikmat yang tidak terhingga. Sebagai peminjam, manusia sebenarnya tidak memiliki apa-apa, akan tetapi Pemilik sebenar adalah Allah S.W.T, manusia hanyalah diamanahkan untuk dipergunakan dalam ibadah. Oleh kerana tidak memiliki apa-apa, manusia tidak dapat membayar hutangnya maka satu-satunya jalan untuk membalas budi adalah dengan beribadah, dan menjadi hamba Allah yang mana adalah tujuan daripada penciptaan manusia. ▪ 2. Maddana juga berasal dari kata dana, dari kata ini lahirlah istilah madinah dan madani, maddana yang bermakna membangun dan bertamaddun, oleh itu madinah dan madani hanya boleh digunakan untuk masyarakat yang beragama dan bukannya masyarakat atheis dan sekular.
