Ferry
The ferry is a boat or passenger carrying vessel, and the possibility of their vehicle, on a periodic distance. Ferries play an important role in the public transport system for most coastal towns, allowing direct transit between destinations with smaller costs than bridges or tunnels. Pedestrian ferries with many stops, such as in Venice, are sometimes known as water buses or water taxis. In Malaysia, two ferry boats located in Penang and Butterworth were officially opened by Tunku Abdul Rahman, the Prime Minister of the Federation of Malaya on 23 Sep 1959. The base was named Pengkalan Raja Tun Uda in Penang and Pengkalan Sultan Abdul Halim at Butterworth.
