A hajib (Arabic: الحاجب; Spanish: háchib; Portuguese: hájibe; Catalan: hàjib is a government official in Al-Andalus (modern Spain and Portugal) and Egypt. 756 CE the post turned into vizier or higher. Seorang hajib (Bahasa Arab: الحاجب ‎; Sepanyol: háchib; Bahasa Portugis: hájibe; Bahasa Catalonia: hàjib ialah seorang pegawai kerajaan di Al-Andalus (Sepanyol moden dan Portugal) dan Mesir. Pada mulanya bertindak sebagai bendahari atau pengelola istana tetapi pada tahun 756 CE jawatan itu bertukar menjadi wazir atau lebih tinggi.
