Halba
Halba is a plant belonging to the Fabaceae family. Planted all over the world as a semi-arid crop, it is used as both herbs and spices. Halba is also often used for cooking curry. The Malay language, "halba", comes from the Arabic name "Hilbeh". Its scientific name is Trigonella foenum-graecum. Halba producer countries mainly include: India, Argentina, Egypt, France, Spain, Turkey, Morocco and China, with India being the largest producer in the world. The state of Rajasthan produces 80% of the total production in India, with other major producing states including Gujarat, Uttaranchal, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Haryana, and Punjab.
