Latin name: Cinchona Calisaya Local name: Kina kalisaya Description of the plant: This mango tree is bitter. These plants are considered to be cross-pollinated plants and are very hematocrits. Therefore the pollination results with very different seeds. This calamari plant grows wildly wetlands and mossy forests, in the Andes mountains, at an altitude of 1050 m - 1500 m above sea level, especially in southern Peru and Bolivia. Kina herbs grow well on the slopes of mountains with rainfall above 2000 mm a year and spread evenly throughout the year, with humid climates and temperatures between 12 - 21 degrees Celsius. From its native area the Andes of this plant spread to Indonesia and India. On the island of Java this plant is cultivated in a mountain range with an altitude between 800 - 1600 m above sea level. Characteristics of the Chinese herbs of the genus: Skin: Bitter taste. Leaf: leaf facing, rounded oval shell, 8 - 15 cm long and 3 - 6 cm wide. The lower surface of the hair is soft like velvet especially on the young leaves, long stalks 1 - 1.5 cm.
