Manila

Manila is the capital of the Philippines located east of Manila Bay on the island of Luzon. The city is located in the east of Manila Bay on the largest and northernmost island of Philippines, Luzon. Although there are some places of poverty, the city is one of the world's cosmopolitan cities and its metropolitan area is the country's economic, cultural, educational and industrial center. Manila is often called Pearl Orient. Manila is a metropolitan area with over 10 million inhabitants. This Metropolis is called Metro Manila, but often referred to as Manila by foreigners and other residents there, comprising 17 cities and municipalities. This article discusses the city; see Metro Manila for plans on its metropolis area. The city is the second most populous city in the Philippines after Quezon band, former capital of the Philippines. Manila and its surrounding areas are set up as a union as Metro Manila to facilitate the administration of this relatively rapid growth region. Today, the city and its metropolis succeed as a cultural and economic center.
