Masnawi
Masnawi or masnu'i, mathanawi, and mathnawi are forms of poetry derived from Persian and brought to the Malay world. As poetry derived from Arab-Persian poetry, masnawi is not popular among the Malay community and therefore, this genre is not developing. Masnawi in Malay was introduced by Bukhari al-Jauhari, in his book "Tajus Salatin". Masnawi themed the praise of the reliability, character and fame of a figure. Masnawi serves as a guide, teaching and advice to the audience.
