In Islam, mujaddid is a person who is believed to be sent by Allah at the beginning of every Hijri year. This mujaddid function is to restore Islam, eliminate the removed elements and remove them to the original state. This Mujadiid may be a caliph, guardian, scholar, scholar or other influential person. It is mentioned in the hadith: "Allah will send to this people at the beginning of the year one who will renew the affairs of the religion." There are many views on this mujaddid identity for every century, but Muslims generally agree, even if the people in the list are not is a mujaddid of their time, the majority of which are great orthodox intellectuals who make great contributions to Islam.

Dalam Islam, mujaddid adalah seseorang yang dipercayai dihantar oleh Allah di awal setiap kurun Hijrah. Fungsi mujaddid ini ialah untuk memulihkan kembali Islam, menghilangkan unsur-unsur yang telah ditokok tambah remove dan mengembalikannya kepada keadaan asli. Mujadiid ini boleh jadi seorang khalifah, wali, ulama, cendekiawan ataupun seorang lain yang berpengaruh. Ini disebut dalam hadith: "Allah akan mengutus kepada umat ini di setiap awal kurun seorang yang akan memperbaharui urusan agama" Terdapat banyak pandangan mengenai identiti mujaddid ini bagi setiap abad, tetapi Muslim secara umumnya bersetuju, walaupun sekiranya orang-orang di dalam senarai di bukan merupakan mujaddid zaman mereka, majoritinya merupakan cendekiawan ortodoks hebat yang memberi sumbangan besar terhadap Islam.
