In Islam, mujaddid is a person who is believed to be sent by Allah at the beginning of every Hijri year. This mujaddid function is to restore Islam, eliminate the removed elements and remove them to the original state. This Mujadiid may be a caliph, guardian, scholar, scholar or other influential person. It is mentioned in the hadith: "Allah will send to this people at the beginning of the year one who will renew the affairs of the religion." Mujadiid ini boleh jadi seorang khalifah, wali, ulama, cendekiawan ataupun seorang lain yang berpengaruh.
