Planet
In other niche systems: in orbits surround the star or the rest; having mass below the mass limit for deuterium thermonuclear fusion; and has a mass / size greater than the minimum required to be calculated as a planet in the solar system. IAU has not yet decided whether a massive planetary object is out of the solar system called the planet or not. This is because the stance on the planets in the new solar system was decided at the 2006 IAU General Assembly, but views on the outer planet still use unofficial definitions in 2003. Hence, it may change in the near future. Prior to the resolution of 2006, there was no formal definition of the word "planet", even for the solar system. Therefore, the solar system has had a number of planets before. However, this official definition has not yet been widely accepted by the astronomical community itself, not to mention the general public. Under this official definition, the solar system has eight planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
