Protestant
Protestant is a Christian branch split from the Roman Catholic Church which is increasingly inclined to worldly in a series of movements that erupted in the 16th century in Europe known as the Reformation movement. Recent estimates estimate that Protestants worldwide have reached 800 million. The name of this religion comes from the English word "Protest" which means opposition. It refers to a group of Prince and Imperial City who protested the "Diet of Speyer" 1529 to reverse its decision in 1526 and reinstate the "Edict of Worms" 1521. The main decision in the Diet in 1526 was that as long as the Public Council or General Council had not met and resolved the issue The theological issues raised by Martin Luther, the "Edict of Worms" can not be enforced and every Prince can decide whether to allow or not to teach and worship Lutherans in their respective territories based on the principle of Cuius regio, eius religio or "Who rule, that's his religion. " But at the request of Roman Catholic Church, this decision has been withdrawn.
