Vegetables
Vegetable refers to any plant or part of a plant that is eaten raw or after cooking, as a dish, salad or side dish, not a dessert, and not a staple or snack food. Vegetables can be divided into several groups, namely leaves, fruits and tubers. There are more than 50 types of vegetables grown in Peninsular Malaysia either in the lowlands or in the highlands. Approximately 20 important vegetable varieties and many grown by Malaysian farmers based on existing commercial value.
