Swastika is an equal cross with a curved arm in the right corner, either in the right-handed or inverted form facing left. Archaeological evidence found that swastika originated from the Neolithic period and was first discovered in the Indus Valley Civilization in the sub-continent of India. This symbol is also present today used in modern Indian culture, sometimes as a geometric motif and sometimes as a religious symbol. It is still widely used in Eastern / Muslim religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Even though it used to be used globally around the world, this symbol was tainted until it became a ban on the Western world because of its use as an icon by the Nazis in Germany. Especially in Germany, this symbol is prohibited if used as a Nazism symbol. Many modern political extremists and neo-Nazi groups like the Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging, the Syrian Socialist Nationalist Party and the Russian Union use swastika-style symbols or similar symbols. Today, this symbol is also used by racist Skinhead groups. But especially the skinhead in the European countries.

Bukti arkeologi mendapati swastika berasal dari zaman Neolitik dan pertama kali ditemui di Tamadun Lembah Indus di sub-benua India. Simbol ini juga terdapat pada hari ini yang digunakan dalam budaya moden India, kadang-kadang sebagai motif geometri dan kadang-kadang sebagai simbol keagamaan. Ia masih digunakan secara meluas dalam agama-agama Timur/Dharmik seperti Hindu, Buddhisme dan Jainisme. Meskipun seketika dulu biasa digunakan di seluruh dunia, simbol ini dicemari sehingga sampai ke tahap menjadi larangan di dunia Barat kerana penggunaannya sebagai ikon oleh Nazi di Jerman. Terutamanya di Jerman, simbol ini dilarang jika digunakan sebagai simbol Nazisme. Banyak ekstremis politik moden dan kumpulan neo-nazi seperti Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging, Parti Nasionalis Sosial Syria dan Kesatuan Bangsa Rusia menggunakan simbol bergaya swastika atau simbol yang serupa dengannya. Hari ini, lambang ini juga digunakan oleh kumpulan Skinhead yang berfahaman perkauman.Tetapi khususnya skinhead yang berada di negara-negara eropah.
