Experiment
Experiment or experiment is a method of testing - with the aim of explaining - the nature of reality. Experiments vary from personal to non-formal to well-controlled. More formal, experiments are an organized procedure that is performed with the goal of verifying, confiscating, or ensuring the accuracy of a hypothesis. Experiments vary widely in terms of goals and scales, but are almost always dependent on repeatable procedures and logical analysis of the results. A child may conduct simple experiments to understand the nature of gravity, while a group of scientists may take many years of systematic investigations to improve the understanding of a phenomenon. Experiments are steps in scientific methods that help people choose between two or an explanation - or hypotheses.
