Apulia is an administrative region in southern Italy, with an area of ​​19348 km², 4 million inhabitants and the capital of Bari. Population density 208 people per km². It borders with Molise, Campania and Basilicata. The coastline is 784 km long and is the longest in the administrative regions of Italy. The province consists of 6 provinces: Bari, Taranto, Brindisi, Foggia, Barletta-Andria-Trani and Lecce. Apulia to także kraina historyczna w starożytnej Italii, leżąca w południowo-wschodniej części Półwyspu Apenińskiego, wzdłuż wybrzeży Adriatyku. Głównym miastem regionu był dorycki Tarent. Wybrzeża były w starożytności skolonizowane przez Greków, wraz z Bruttium, Kalabrią i Lukanią stanowiła w antyku część tzw.
