Fibula - a decorative metal fastening clasp, a function and shape similar to today's safety pin, used in Europe from the late Bronze Age to the Middle Ages. The name was also extended to all brooches, belt locks, belt buckles and hair bands, etc. The cuffs also served as buttons. Fibula – ozdobna, metalowa zapinka do spinania szat, funkcją i kształtem zbliżona do współczesnej agrafki, używana w Europie od późnej epoki brązu aż do średniowiecza. Nazwę tę rozciągano również na wszystkie brosze, zamki do pasków, sprzączki do pasków i opasek na włosy itp. Fibule spełniały również rolę guzików.
