Godot - an unreal character on which to wait, but which will never come, a hero of proverbs of the same theme. The title character of Samuel Beckett's philosophical drama, "Waiting for Godot," in which two tramps, Estragon and Vladimir, await on the way to Godot, who is to be their salvation, but never appears. Godot – postać nierzeczywista, na którą się czeka, lecz która nigdy nie nadejdzie, bohater przysłowia o takiej samej tematyce. Tytułowa postać z filozoficznego dramatu Samuela Becketta "Czekając na Godota", w którym dwóch włóczęgów, Estragon i Vladimir, czekają przy drodze na Godota, który ma być ich zbawieniem, jednak nigdy się nie pojawia.
