Ius dispositivum - a legal or regulatory norm. Legal or regulatory norms indicate that their use may be the exclusion or limitation of their choice, contrary to mandatory standards. These standards apply only if the parties themselves have not regulated their rights and obligations in a manner different from that contained in such a standard or where the parties have not acted in accordance with the norm or have only partially settled the legal relationship. Determining the nature of the binding force of legal norms requires, first of all, an analysis of the content of the provision and, in case of doubt, the purpose of its establishment or the function of the rule. Normy prawne względnie obowiązujące znamionuje to, że ich zastosowanie może być wolą stron wyłączone lub ograniczone, w przeciwieństwie do norm bezwzględnie obowiązujących.
