Iwo

Iwo

Iwo, Iwon - male name of Germanic origin. It is most probably derived from Old German High German - iwa meaning "yew tree", "yew tree" or willow, or the Bretonian form of John, which is borrowed from ling. Greek from Ιωάννης. Iwon's form was influenced by Latin. In Poland, the name Iwo was recorded in 1206. According to SGKPiKS; Iwo, Iwon, Iwik, former name, frequent in Wielkopolska and Małopolska in the Piast era, are the names of Iwanowice, Iwonowice, Iwona, Iwona, Iwowe, Iwiczne, which should be distinguished from similar names created from the Rusian form of Jan, also in the Piast era. The namesake celebrates May 19, September 4, October 27 and December 23. Famous people named Iwo: ▪ Iwo from Brittany, holy ▪ Ivo Andrić, Bosnian writer ▪ Iwo ... Iwo imieniny obchodzi 19 maja, 4 września, 27 października i 23 grudnia. Znane osoby o imieniu Iwo: ▪ Iwo z Bretanii, święty ▪ Ivo Andrić, bośniacki pisarz ▪ Iwo...
