Klinger - an artificial water reservoir in the Szczawnica Mountains in Slovakia, about 1 km southwest of the center of Banská Štiavnica. One of the smaller ancient taiga - artificial reservoirs damming water to drive mining and metallurgical machinery and equipment in the historic Banská Štiavnica mines. The reservoir was built on the northern slope of the Vtáčnik hill at the beginning of the second half of the 18th century, according to the design of Joseph Karol Hella. It was first mentioned in 1765. The name Tajch Klinger received from the name of the tunnel below the mouth of which was built. In 1829 the dam was demolished, and by 1833 a new dam had been built from it, which was located slightly below the old one and slightly higher. The missing material was transported from the area of ​​the Red Stream Pass with a specially built railway line, which was the first such means of transport in present-day Slovakia. The surface of the reservoir was 2.10 ha, the maximum depth was 11.0 m, and the accumulated water was 157 900 m³.

Jeden z mniejszych dawnych tajchów – sztucznych zbiorników piętrzących wodę do napędzania maszyn i urządzeń górniczych i hutniczych w historycznym bańskoszczawnickim rewirze górniczym. Zbiornik wybudowano na północnym stoku wzgórza Vtáčnik na początku II połowy XVIII w., według projektu Józefa Karola Hella. Po raz pierwszy wspomniany został w 1765 r. Nazwę Tajch Klinger otrzymał od nazwy sztolni, poniżej ujścia której został wybudowany. W roku 1829 zapora została rozebrana, po czym do roku 1833 z uzyskanego z niej materiału zbudowano nową tamę, która była usytuowana nieco poniżej starej i nieco od niej wyższa. Brakujący materiał był dowożony z rejonu przełęczy Czerwona Studnia specjalnie zbudowaną linią kolejową, która była pierwszym takim środkiem transportu na terenie dzisiejszej Słowacji. Powierzchnia zbiornika wynosiła 2,10 ha, maksymalna głębokość 11,0 m, a objętość zgromadzonej wody 157 900 m³.
