Konidium

Conidium, conidiospora or conidia spore - the type of fungal spores resulting from asexual reproduction. It belongs to the mitospor group. Conidia are often produced by bag fungi, and rarely by fungi. They are formed at the top of conidiofor by budding and cutting off the wall of the newly formed cell. There are several types of conidia: ▪ arthrospore - short, single-celled spores produced by fragmentation of mycelium or branching of conidiophores, ▪ meristem arthrosms - arise singly or form chains on the top of the spore cell. They are found in the fungi of the genus Oidium and in the order Erysiphales - here they are called oidias, ▪ tretospores - predominantly thick-walled and colored spores produced by the growth of the inner wall of the spore cell. They are formed singly or form chains. There are, for example, types of Alternaria and Helminthosporium, ▪ fialospores - they are produced by extended bottle cells called fialids and form chains.

Konidium, konidiospora lub zarodnik konidialny – rodzaj zarodników grzybów powstających w wyniku rozmnażania bezpłciowego. Należy do grupy mitospor. Konidia wytwarzane są często przez grzyby workowe, rzadziej grzyby podstawkowe. Powstają na szczycie konidioforu przez pączkowanie i odcinanie ścianą nowo powstałej komórki. Wyróżnia się kilka rodzajów konidiów: ▪ artrospory – krótkie, jednokomórkowe zarodniki wytwarzane przez fragmentację strzępek grzybni lub odgałęzień konidioforów, ▪ artrospory merystemowe – powstają pojedynczo lub tworzą łańcuszki na szczycie trzonka komórki zarodnikotwórczej. Występują u grzybów z rodzaju Oidium oraz w rzędzie Erysiphales – tu nazywają się oidiami, ▪ tretospory – przeważnie grubościenne i barwne zarodniki wytwarzane przez rozrastanie się wewnętrznej ściany komórki zarodnikotwórczej. Powstają pojedynczo lub tworzą łańcuszki. Występują np. U rodzajów Alternaria i Helminthosporium, ▪ fialospory – wytwarzane są przez rozszerzone butelkowato komórki zwane fialidami i tworzą łańcuszki.
