Neuralgia

Neuralgia, or neuralgia - a term used in medicine, first used in 1921 by Harris, associated with damage to the peripheral nerve that transports sensory stimuli to the brain. It is sharp, tearing, tugging, radiating in the nerve area of a particular nerve or its branches. The pain appears in the area of nerve nerve, which is the part of the body from which the given nerve signal originates. Often it is paroxysmal - ie between periods of pain for seconds, minutes or hours, there are periods of completely painless or significantly relieved. In many cases, the disease picture is similar to neuropathy, and existing imaging techniques in many cases do not allow for proper diagnosis.
