Paludamentum

Paludamentum - Roman wool coat reaching to the knee or below the calf, attached on the right shoulder. The emperors carried the paludamentum in purple, the chiefs were in scarlet suit, while the officers in white. The soldiers wore the paludamentum from thick wool of natural color. Paludamentum – rzymski płaszcz wełniany sięgający do kolan lub poniżej łydek, spinany na prawym ramieniu. Imperatorzy nosili paludamentum w kolorze purpury, naczelnym wodzom przysługiwał w kolorze szkarłatnym, natomiast oficerom - w kolorze białym. Żołnierze nosili paludamentum z grubej wełny naturalnego koloru.
