Priam
Priam - in Greek mythology King Troy; hero of Homer's Iliad. He was the son of Laomedon. Priam's counselor was Antenor. According to Iliad, he had 20 wives and 50 sons and 12 daughters. He was the husband of Arisbe, the daughter of Meraops, and later Hekaby. It was he who begged in Achilles the body of his son Hector. After the capture of Troy by the Greeks, he killed his son Achilles, Neoptolemos.
