WHAT DOES RIKSMAL MEAN IN POLISH?

Riksmål

Riksmål - one of the varieties of Norwegian literary language. It was developed by the linguist Knud Knudsen, who in the mid-nineteenth century took up the "norway" of the common Danish-Norwegian language. Knudsen gradually introduced into the language more and more provincialisms, and also "norway" the pronunciation and spelling of Danish words. Under the Equality Act, the riksmål was recognized in 1885 with the landsmål as the official language of Norway. In 1929 its name was changed to a bokmål and the possibility of change was allowed. The conservative variety of riksmål is in use today. Total bokmålu and riksmålu as a written form currently use 85-90% of Norwegians, with the vast majority using the bokmål. Riksmålu users are small and very conservative group.
