Venture capital

Venture Capital - the term for private equity investments in the early stages of development. It is a form of financing innovative and therefore risky investment projects. The venture capital investment is the profit that results from the value of the enterprise and not from the production or service itself. It takes a specific form. It is based on the capital injection of the newly formed company through the acquisition of shares. These actions cause that the capital to the company is not introduced in the form of credit, but in the form of ownership. A venture capital investor becomes the co-owner of the company he finances. The form and amount of shares the capital supplier will receive is based on prior arrangements between the owner and the owner or originator of the new solution. The investor undertakes the same risk as the other shareholders of the project. In the case of success of the project, together with the founders or originators participate in its success.

Venture Capital – termin oznaczający inwestycje na niepublicznym rynku kapitałowym znajdujących się we wczesnych fazach rozwoju. Jest to forma finansowania innowacyjnych, a przez to obarczonych ryzykiem, projektów inwestycyjnych. Celem inwestowania venture capital jest zysk wynikający z wartości przedsiębiorstwa, a nie z samej działalności produkcyjnej bądź usługowej. Przybiera ona specyficzną formę. Polega ona na zasileniu kapitałowym powstającej spółki poprzez objęcie akcji lub udziałów. Działania te powodują że kapitał do firmy nie jest wprowadzany w formie kredytu, ale w formie właścicielskiej. Inwestor oferujący finansowanie typu venture capital staje się współwłaścicielem spółki, którą finansuje. Forma i ilość akcji bądź udziałów, jaką otrzyma dostawca kapitału, wynika z wcześniejszych ustaleń pomiędzy nim a właścicielami, lub pomysłodawcami nowego rozwiązania. Inwestor przedsięwzięcia podejmuje takie same ryzyko jak pozostali udziałowcy przedsięwzięcia. W przypadku powodzenia przedsięwzięcia, razem z założycielami czy pomysłodawcami uczestniczy w jego sukcesie.
