Corne English

Corne inglês

The English corne is a double vane blow instrument of the oboe family. It is an instrument transpositor in F, so a fifth below the oboe, in C. Being a more serious instrument, it is also bigger than the oboe, and usually the musician needs a neck strap to support the support, as in the case of the bassoon and some types of saxophone. The double vane used in the English corne is very similar to that of the oboe, but is not inserted directly into the instrument but rather into a mouthpiece. Even as a transposer, the technique is the same as the oboe, and its parts are written as if they were played in C to facilitate the work of the oboist who is playing an English corne. The training of all English horn instrumentalists goes before by learning the oboe. Royal English Corne Tessitura transposed in the score. Although not strictly analogous to oboe, the English horn may be considered a tenor oboe. The oboe would be the soprano voice, the oboe would be the voice of the contralto, and the oboe would be the voice of the bass. O oboé seria a voz soprano, o oboé d'amore a voz de contralto, e o oboé baixo a voz do baixo.
