Erinose

Erinose is a vine disease characterized by the widespread appearance of eríneos in the leaves and shoots of the plant caused by the bite of Colomerus vitis, a species of mites of the family Eriophyidae. Ermones are zones of the leaf blade where cell division intensifies giving rise to a blistering of the leaf surface forming a hollow protruding structure with the concavity facing the underside of the leaf. In the concave part is formed a characteristic infiltrate, result of the modification of the cells of the epidermis of this zone, which are elongated and turgid, where they harbor populations of the mites eriofídeos cause of the affection.
