It. calzone, pe filieră comercială, probabil prin intermediul ngr. ϰαλπσούνι, sau bg. kalcun (REW 1495; Densusianu, GS, VI, 363). – Der. călțunar, s. m. (pantofar; la nuntă, două rude ale mirelui care îl însoțesc la mireasă acasă, ducîndu-i darurile); călțunăreasă, s. f. (rudă a mirelui, care îi duce darurile); călțunaș, s. m. (ciorap de copil; violetă, Viola adorata; condurul-doamnei, Tropaeolum maius; plantă asemănătoare cu gura-leului, Antirrhinum maius; plăcintă de casă, umplută cu brînză sau marmeladă).
