pástă (páste), s. f.1. Materie vîscoasă, aluat, cocă. – 2. (Mold.) Plăcintă. It. pasta, prin intermediul ngr. πάστα. – Der. pastea, s. f. (prăjitură dulce), din ngr. παστέλλι (Scriban); păstos, adj. (ca pasta); pastel, s. n. (culoare pentru pictură; pictură cu această culoare; poezie descriptivă), din fr. pastel, ultimul sens e datorat titlului unui volum de poezii de Alecsandri; pastelist, s. m.; pastilă, s. f., din fr. pastille, germ. Pastille (rus. pastila, Sanzewitsch 207, este puțin probabil); paștet, s. n. (pateu) din fr. paté (› pateu, s. n.), prin intermediul germ. Pastele, rus. pastet (Tiktin).
