poșidíc (poșidícuri),s. n. – 1. Plevușcă, pește mic. – 2. Droaie de copii, copilăret. – 3. Făt, mormoloc. – Var.poji(r)dic, pojo(r)dic, poșirdic, poșildic, poșindic, boșandic. Creație expresivă, unde poș- exprimă ideea de „forfot”, cf.foș-. Legătura cu mag.fosedék (Drăganu, Dacor., III, 716), mag.posodék (Scriban) pare să explice prin același scop expresiv. Cf.poșircă,s. f. (apă chioară), care pare să aparțină aceleiași familii (după Cihac, II, 280, din sl.požesti „a arde”, ipoteză improbabilă, care se explică parțial prin silința exagerată că din acest cuvînt autorul ar face alcoolul de proastă calitate; în realitate se zice și pentru supe și băuturi nealcoolice).
