SIDÉF ~uri n. 1) Substanță dură, albă, lucioasă, cu irizații, care formează stratul intern al valvelor și al cochiliilor de moluște, întrebuințată, mai ales, pentru fabricarea nasturilor și a obiectelor decorative. 2) Obiect confecționat din astfel de substanță.
