Barge
Barge is a generic designation for the different types of floating structures made of steel, wood or concrete, with a flat bottom, full body, plowed or unplanned, usually without propulsion, and used in harbors, lagoons, seaside districts and large-scale canals and rivers, freight transport in bulk, and various maintenance and port services. As a rule, he does not have his own means of propulsion and is being towed by a special ship, a tug; but there are also self-propelled barges. In many ports they are used to transport goods from ships to quay and vice versa, or especially in altering operations.
