Philology
Philology - a set of sciences that study the culture of the people, expressed in language and literary creation. In the dictionary of Dalia, "philology" is the science or study of ancient, dead languages; the study of living languages - linguistics. Linguistics is not always included in philology: firstly, linguistics does not necessarily investigate texts; secondly, it does not always touch upon the culturological side of the question; for linguistics is characterized by greater proximity to exact sciences than for other disciplines traditionally attributed to philology.
